GET READY for some blog OVERLOAD for this gorgeous ‘soon to be’ TEEN – AVERY!. She turns 13 on 3.18.12 – and I know how important that TEEN title is – so I have to give it to her a bit early. When Avery’s mom contacted me about a shoot I was thrilled! This age is one of my all time favorites to work with and Avery – you were a true beauty – inside and out! The ultimate goal of the session was to capture Avery as she turns 13 and also to bottle up that sweet spirit of hers. I think we did that and SO MUCH MORE. Avery has the kindest heart and is so amazingly respectful of others. She’s funny, witty, eager and I think we may have unleashed the inner model in her!
For this session I was thrilled to work with my new Stylist – Ashley Williams. You can find out a bit more about Ashley and the styling element of JWP here – she is simply amazing. She is part owner of Hemline a great little boutique in Dallas and she is a personal wardrobe stylist & a CLOSET EDITOR (with her company ClosetLift). Basically headed out to Avery’s home in Rockwall and Ashley pieced together all of these looks straight from Avery’s existing wardrobe. That was almost just as fun as the shoot itself. Avery had a blast with this as it showed her some new ways to wear some of her current pieces.
I’m a huge advocate of maximizing your session with a bit of styling. Not over the top styling that doesn’t doesn’t reflect who you are – but just simple enhancements and unique twists on your own wardrobe to make you feel like the best version of yourself.
