Today I experienced a celebration of life. A celebration of an amazing man that left our world much too soon. Late on Tuesday 4/27/10 the heavens claimed a spirited man named John.
Although I didn’t know John as well as I would have liked to, I can assure you that he was a solid, loving, kind, funny, sincere and heartfelt man. I’ve been friends with his extended family for years and I’m so glad that I ever even had the chance to meet him. Our encounters were very brief, but it only takes a moment for anyone to recognize what a stellar man he was. You can still see that ‘greatness’ in his wife and 2 children. They truly are the legacy of his fortitude. Last fall, I was able to spend some time photographing his children and all I can say is “John, you must be so proud”. They are shining examples of both you and Jina and they are unfolding to be 2 amazing little souls. The love and playfulness they have for one another is truly evident and it’s clear the impact you’ve had on their lives.
My heartfelt thoughts go to John’s entire family. Honestly, I’ve never met a more unique, close-knit family than yours…cherish that…for it is that bond that will get you through times like this. John…you will be missed.
